What Home Rink is

Home Rink is a free app for running NHL fantasy hockey pools with friends. It is a hobby project operated from Alberta, Canada, and provided as-is. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Home Rink.
• Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give accurate sign-up details. One person, one account.

How to behave

Pools are social. Chirping is welcome; harassment, hate, spam and anything illegal are not. Don't try to break, overload, scrape or gain access to parts of the site that aren't yours, and don't upload images you don't have the right to use. Chat is for the members of your pool; keep it civil, and don't post other people's private information.

Pool commissioners run their own pools and are responsible for how they run them. A commissioner can change pool settings, and remove members from a pool. Commissioners and authors can retract chat messages.

No money, no betting

Home Rink is free to use. It does not handle entry fees, prizes or payouts, and is not a gambling service. Anything you and your friends arrange outside the app is between you, and is your responsibility under the laws where you live.

Stats and scoring

Player stats come from public NHL data and may be delayed or incorrect. Points shown during live games are estimates until the nightly update makes them official. Home Rink is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHL or any NHL club; NHL and NHL club names, logos and player images are trademarks of their owners; we don't own them and use them only to identify teams and players.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (chat messages, tagline, avatar). You give Home Rink permission to store and show it to the members of your pools as part of running the app. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, which removes your content as described in the Privacy Policy.

Ending your access

You can stop using Home Rink and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts or content that break these terms.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is” with no promise that it will be always available or error-free. We may change, suspend or end the service. To the extent the law allows, Home Rink and its operator are not liable for any loss arising from using the service. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update them and the date at the top. Continuing to use Home Rink after a change means you accept it.
